Photographs and information on the bell of the farm Kersefontein near Hopefield. The farm Kersefontein near Hopefield has a very attractive bell tower. The whole estate has been beautifully maintained by the successive generations of the Melck family that have owned the property for a long time. The bell itself has good dimensions. In between two sets of two moulding wires we find the only inscription on the bell 1818 which makes the bell one of the oldest bells in the district. Unfortunately, the bell has been coated with a green paint.
