Photographs and information on the church bell of St. Mark's Anglican Church, Cape Town. This church has a bell that is worth further investigation. From pictures it is clear that the date on the bell is 1831. Also the reverse side of the bell has decorations that look like the wings of a bird. Unfortunately, there is no access to the bell that would allow closer inspection. Perhaps one could toll the bell in such a position that the decorations can be photographed.
