| dc.description.abstract | Photographs and information on the bell on the Ernie Els wine estate near Stellenbosch. The Ernie Els Wine Estate outside Stellenbosch belongs to the golf player Ernie Els. In the tasting room of the estate hangs a copper bell that is very well made and dates from 1881. The decorations on the bell are rather simple. Below the shoulder at the top of the bell, one finds two times two moulding wires. In between the inscription band it caries the inscription WARNER & SONS LONDON 1881. On the sound bow we find another three moulding wires and two moulding wires on the lip. | |
