Nederduits Gereformeerde Kerk: The congregation was established in 1891 and is situated in a more prosperous part of the city. The bell is a typical bell from the Dutch Foundry, richly decorated. On top of the bell are two decorative bands. In between appears the reference to the foundry. PETIT & FRITSEN AARLE-RIXTEL. HOLLAND. A.D. 1960. Above the knee in between two bands of double moulding wires is the reference to the supplier. Around the bell stands SUPPLIED BY SOUTH AFRICAN ORGAN BUILDERS (PTY) LTD SILVERTON 3275. Somewhat surprising is that the reference to the suppliers is here in English, not in Afrikaans as we more often encountered in bells from Petit & Fritsen in the Western Cape like Bellville and Ceres.
