dc.description.abstractThe Nederduits Gereformeerde Kerk in Durbanville has a rather recent bell from 1902. In the space between the moulding wires at the top of the bell one finds the information on the founder. BARWELL FOUNDER BIRMINGHAM. Below this inscription band, one finds the emblem of the foundry that has been encountered on a number of bells within the Stellenbosch area.
