Abstract

Drawing of conical towers on the East African Coast, depicting detail of Ibadhi Mosque, Mombasa (after 1846 A.D., probably c.1850), lighthouse, Mombasa, Minaret of Shela Mosque (1829 A.D.), 15th century Pillar tomb, Malindi and Minaret of Malindi Mosque, Zanzibar (c.1831 A.D., Caton-Thompson 1860 A.D.).
