Abstract
Photograph of an extended cottage on the northern side of the valley, Goedverwacht, depicting thatching (typical of that area) with a hipped gable with thatch around the chimney stack and a ridge of grass pulled up by the roots. Behind the cottage, across the valley, is the church and pastorie.
