Abstract
This index describes the Barend Toerien collection which includes a portfolio of handwritten poems and illustrations compiled by Casper Schmidt for the poet's 60th birthday on 29 March 1981, as well as correspondence with other writers such as Uys Krige, Etienne Leroux, Sheila Cussons and Peter Blum. The collection contains correspondence ; radio talks ; book reviews ; poems compiled in 7 pamphlet boxes.
