Abstract
This index describes the Johan Spies Collection and contains note books ; newspaper clippings ; personalia ; radio talks ; photographs. Johan Spies was a linguist and former editor of Die Huisgenoot. This collection consists of Taalgereedskap, a newspaper column written by Spies, which appeared in Die Burger for 9 years. It also contains note books, radio talks, speeches and photographs of the Stellenbosse Boereorkes. The collectio is compiled of 8 pamphlet and 2 folio books.
