Abstract

Hermanus, Catholic Church. On the outskirts of Hermanus lie a number of churches, one of them the Catholic Church of The Lady of Light. In the garden in front of the church stands a horseshoe type construction in which hangs a fairly good sized bell. It carries no decorations. In the choir of the church hangs a charming cupper bell in an extensively decorated hanger. Below the shoulder one reads, Qui Me Tangit, Vocem Meam Audit, meaning, that whoever touches the bell, will hear its sound.
