Abstract
Newspaper advertisement by the African National Congress (ANC) highlighting the devastating effects of the National Party's (NP) education policy that provided three times more for White students than for Coloured, Indian, and Black. The results at the time reveal that nine million South African's were unable to read and write because of the NP education policy. The advertisement presents the ANC's plan to address this inequality by providing ten years free, quality education to all.
