Photographs and information on the church bell of the Methodist Church in Robertson, South Africa. The Methodist Church in Robertson has a very neat bell. At the top of the bell we find the information on the founder. J WARNER & SONS LONDON 1869. On the front side of the bell appears the emblem of the founder. Somewhat surprisingly underneath the emblem we find the word PATENT. Originally, the congregation met in the main church in the centre of Robertson. At a later stage it was moved due to the Group Areas Act. The bell followed the congregation and ended up in the current bell tower.
