C. columnaris L.f. 1. Plant in a dormant state (from Laingsburg). 2. Plant, flowering at Capetown, with visiting butterfly from the Karoo (Zeritis Thero). 3. Flower, the corolla and 2 front sepals removed; s. Squamae. 4. One half of a leaf, showing the swollen marginal hairs. F. C. corallina L.f. (C. dasyphylla Harv.) from Prince Albert. G. C. decipiens N.E. Br., from Ladismith.
