Parts of flower, viz. the 3 smaller sepals, the 4 lateral petals and the pistil. 3. Pollen grain. 4. Capsule with persistent sepals. B. Mundia spinosa (L.) DC. 1. Flowering twig. 2. Fruiting twig. 3. Flower dissected: ls. lateral sepals (wings); c. the other 3 sepals, connate; l.p. lateral petals; u.p. upper petals; k. (keel) lower petal; a. androecium; b. pistil. All 2/1. C. Muraltia Heisteria (L.) DC. 1. Twig with butterfly (Leptoneura clytus). 2. Calyx, the 5 sepals similar (green). 3. Pistil, the ovary horned. 4. Androecium. 5. Capsule with persistent calyx. 6. Seeds with caruncula (elaiosome), 5/1. Fam. 60. Dichapetalaceae. D. Dichapetalum cymosum (Hook.) Engl. 1. Subterranean stem with 2 shoots, one from last season with ripe fruit and one young one with flowers. 2. Flower (note the bifid petals).
