D. Elytropappus rhinocerotis (L. fil.) Less. E. Relhania cuneata Thunb. with visiting beetle (Calosotis spec.). F. Bryomorphe Zeyheri Harv. A small cluster. 2. Ray-floret, female. Tribe VII. Anthemideae. B. Eriocephalus umbellulatus Cass. 1. Flowering twig, with visiting fly; one capitulum in fruit. 2. Bud of disc-floret (male), in section. 3. Disc-floret, showing the pollen accumulated at the mouth of the staminal tube. 4. Achene (devoid of pappus), derived from a marginal floret, with withered corolla and the adhering woolly bract of the involucre. C. Pentzia virgata Less. 2. Floret with ear-shaped pappus, the epidermal layer of the achene swollen (soaked in water).
