dc.description	A. Bobartia spathacea (Thunb.) Ker. Inflorescence and short piece of stem, with visiting bee (Allodape pungens). B. Micranthus fistulosus (Jacq.) Eckl. In summer, the leaves dead, the apex of one leaf cut away. With visiting butterfly (Chrysophanus orus). 2. Flower, 2/1. C. Klattia partita (Ker) Baker. 1. Flowering branch. 2. Flower laid open. 3. Pistil (nat. size). 4. Stigma, enlarged. D. Witsenia maura (L.) Thunb. 1. A capitulum, showing one bud and one fully developed flower, the latter with the fine stigma projecting (the segments of the perianth do not open any further). 2. Limb and mouth of perianth, laid open. 3. Pistil. 4. Stigma (enlarged) from an older flower, where the style protrudes about ¼ inch.
