    Abstract
    This index describes the Willem Kempen collection which consists of documents of Prof. Willem Kempen, professor in Afrikaans and Dutch, University of Stellenbosch, 1948-1974. Documents pertaining to the translation of the Bible (1983) and revised "Gesange" transferred to church archives at the Theological Seminary. The collection consists of items regarding Taalkommissie and the Vaktaalburo of the Suid-Afrikaanse Akademie vir Wetenskap en Kuns ; Woordeboek van die Afrikaanse Taal (WAT) ; Afrikaanse woordelys en spelreëls ; Bibles and totals 17 pamphlet boxes and 5 bibles.
