Abstract
This index describes the John X. Merriman collection which consists mostly of letters by John X. Merriman to his friend Dr. Alexander Roberts of Lovedale, near Alice. Other letters are from A.V. Merriman, J.C. Smuts and Mrs. Agnes Merriman. The collection has 96 items in a pamphlet box.
