| dc.description.abstract | Mossel Bay, Anglican Church. The Anglican Church in Mossel Bay has an outside tower that is both impressive and classical in style. In the tower hangs a rather large bell that however is difficult to approach due to the fact that it hangs high in the middle of the tower. On the bell itself we find in between two pairs of moulding wires at the top the information on the foundry, Cast by John Warner & Sons London 1924? The position of the bell made it difficult to record the year of founding precisely. The given date is therefore uncertain. There are three more moulding wires above the sound bow and another two at the lip of the bell. | en |
