As in most Anglican churches in the Western Cape, also here the bell hangs in a niche above the entrance of the church. Moreover, the niche hardly allows light that could help in discovering decorations on the bell. From what we could see, below the shoulder figures a broad decorative band in between moulding wires. There are three more such wires above the sound bow. We had to restrict our investigation with a sound recording.en_ZA
