    Abstract
Riversdale used to be the main mission of the Berlin Missionary Society in the Eden district. It served a large number of outstations. The church was transferred to the Lutheran Church and also in this new setup, Riverdale is responsible for a large number of congregations within the surrounding Moria circuit. The bell in the tower is from the same founder as the bell in the neighbouring Nederduitse Gereformeerde Kerk. Below the shoulder is the traditional Korfhage decorative band. On a waist stands the sentence: EIN FESTER BURG IS UNSER GOTT, with above it a God’s eye in a triangle that is surrounded by a circle. Above the knee are three moulding wires and again three on the sound bow. In between these wires and on the reverse side of the bell stands: ED. KORFHAGE & SOEHNE, BUER 1908. Apart from a few local wounds the bell is in good condition.
