Abstract
Drawings of windmill caps. The conical caps depict detail of (a) a fixed cap and (b) Gradwell's Mill. The flat cone on truncated-cone caps depict detail of (c) "The Hope" Mill, (d) Bredasdorp Mill and (e) a domed cap. The pitched roof on bombé base caps depict detail of (f) Richardson's Mill, (g) later Salt River Mill, (h) Mostert's Mill and (i) a framework with detail of sheer-trees, a tail-beam, a sprattle-beam and a breast-beam. The pitched roof on rectangular base cap depict detail of (j) Clapperton's Mill.
