Photographs and information on the bell Rabie Hall, Worcester. A few blocks from the Moederkerk one finds the second of the original Moederkerk bells in an iron clock tower next to the Pieter Rabie Hall. This hall had been built to accommodate the large group of parishioners that could not attend services in the Moederkerk. The bell itself probably fell down during one the collapses of the turrets that had been tried out on the bell tower of the church. As a result the bell had to be repaired something that was done in a clumsy but still inspired way. The reparation covers up part of the founding date. Fortunately, the repair has not caused too much harm to the tone of the bell. The bell has been painted with a silver coating. In between two pairs of moulding wires one finds as decoration 1822 and a few more moulding wires on the sound bow and the lip.
