Photographs and information on the bell at Het Gesticht (formerly Old Zion Church) in Paarl. Het Gesticht in Paarl is a church with a long history that started in 1813 as a small unbaked brick building. From 1820 it became the Old Zion Church. It has a bell of modest dimensions but the tower is well-proportioned. The church itself was later renamed Old Zion Church. It fell into disuse and in 2000 was bought by a trust and turned into a museum.
