    Abstract
    Drawing of coastal caves and rock shelters. A section of Oakhurst shelter, George (thick lines indicate extent of complete protection), depicts detail of rain strike, a sterile, a drip, forest humus and a talus. The plan of Oakhurst shelter, George, depicts detail of a bedding of grass and vegetation, ash heaps with graves below and protection hearths. A section of the Forest Hall Cave, Plettenberg Bay (after Goodwin), depicts detail of a talus, a drip, a rain strike, humus and surface rubble. A section of the Umgazana Cave, Port St. Johns (after Chubb, Hing and Mogg).
