dc.description | The Christ the King Anglican Church at Claremont was founded in 1895. The church is topped with a small belfry that contains a bell in its bell-cote. The bell has no date on it, but just above the sound bow we find the inscription
MADE FOR
JAMES ROBERTSON & CO
CAPE TOWN
Note that there are other bells in the old Nederduits Gereformeerde Kerk in Malgas and in the Methodist Church in Somerset West that have been cast for the same group. | en_ZA |
