De Nederduits Gereformeerde Kerk in Fish Hoek has a recent and attractive bell. The tower is constructed with bricks like the main church building. The bell is easily reached and immediately surprises by its simple beauty. Unfortunately, we could not find any indication about the founder. The yoke in which the bell turns has letter marks of a maker but not sufficiently clear for a determination. The crown of the bell itself is particularly neat and should be sufficient to determine the founder. Just below the shoulder is a broad decorative band. A few moulding wires can be seen in the middle of the bell and above the knee. On the waist stands VISHOEK 1952 showing the young age of the bell. The date coincided with that of the building of the church. The bell is linked to a clock that also does not reveal anything about its maker.en_ZA
