Abstract

Photographs and information on the Kango Valley Dutch Reformed Church and its bell near Oudtshoorn. A few kilometers north of Oudtshoorn lies the Oudtshoorn Kangovallei Nederduits Gereformeerde Kerk. Also this building houses a Petit & Fritsen bell but slightly older than those of the St Saviour Cathedral. In between the traditional decorative bands stands information on the founder. PETIT & FRITSEN. AARLE-RIXTEL. HOLLAND A.D. 1958. Again there is the emblem of the foundry on the waist. In between a pair of two moulding wires one reads information on the suppliers GELEWER DEUR DIE AFRIKAANSE ORRELBOUERS (EDMS.) BEPERK PRETORIA 2348. The number refers to the order book of the foundry. The bell is in excellent condition.
