dc.descriptionRoridulaceae. A. Roridula dentata L. 1. Branch, with the corpses of various insects. In the centre a spider’s nest. c. Capsid. s. Spider (Synaema marlothi). 2. Stamen from fully developed bud. 3. Capsid (Pameridea roridulae), which visits the flowers. 4. Stamen with erect anther. 5. Ovary, long. section, one cell opened. 6. Ovary at a later stage. 7. Ripe capsule, showing the three seeds, the front valve being removed. 8. Seed. 9. Seed, long. section. 10. Apex of leaf. 11. Stalked gland. 12. Pollen grain. B. R. Gorgonias Planch. 1. Upper part of the plant, with corpses of insects. 2. Flower, one sepal and 2 petals removed. 3. Ovary in its second stage. 4. Ripe capsule, showing 2 open cells with 2 seeds each, the third valve (anterior) removed. 5. Seed. The colour of the flowers of this species is generally a bright pink (not red as in R. dentata).
