dc.description	A. Oxalis polyphylla Jacq. B. O. hirta L. With visiting beetle, resembling an ant and named Formicomus coeruleus (nat. size). Lives on tiny insects, e.g. Thrips, found in flowers of Oxalis. C. O. cernua Thunb., with butterfly (Colias electra). 2. Pistil of short-styled form. D. O. cernua, with double flowers from Campsbay. E. O. variabilis Jacq. White flowered variety with visiting bee. F. O. variabilis Jacq., the more frequent variety. G. O. purpurea Jacq. 1. Plant without the bulb. 2. Pistil of long-styled form. 3. Seed, the succulent layer of the testa just splitting. 4. Outer layer of testa curled back, having ejected the seed. 5. Seed. 6. Long. section of seed.
