dc.description	133. Labiatae. A. Salvia africana L. 1. Flowering twig with two bees. 2. Pistil. 3. Ovary and base of style, long. sect. 4. Flower, long. sect. 5. The same, but the anther forced down by pressure against the short arm of the stamen. 6. A stamen, back view and side view. B. S. aurea L. Calyx persistent and enlarged during development of fruit. Two large and two abortive nutlets. C. Plectranthus fruticosus L’Hér. 1. Flowering twig. 2. Flower, first stage, the bud just opening. 3. Flower, second stage, the stamens shedding the pollen, the stigma still undeveloped. 4. Flower, third stage, the stamens recurved and withering, the stigma fully developed. 5. Floral diagram.
