Photographs and information on a ship's bell at the Klippe Rivier Guest House in Swellendam. The guest house Klippe Rivier has a bell that is clearly a ship’s bell. As is common with ship bells there are no decorations on the bell except the ship’s name. In the middle of the bell one reads M/S FREJ which suggests that the ship was from Danish origin. However, we have not found more details about the origin of the bell. Note the special shape of the clapper that has a ring underneath for easy ringing.
