| dc.description.abstract | Photographs and information on a bell on the Rustenberg wine estate outside Stellenbosch. The bell at Rustenberg Wine Estate outside Stellenbosch is about 30 cm in height. According to the owner Simon Barlow the bell should be about 50 years old and a replica of the Elsenburg bell of which it has somewhat the same dimensions but none of the decorations. We guess that this bell has been locally made since it lacks any ornamentation. If the owner’s statement is correct then this proves that there have been local bell founders in the area in recent times. | |
