    Abstract
    The article was published in the wake of the cancellation of the show "The Lunatic, the Lover and the Poet", which had been scheduled to take place in the Studio Theatre in the Playhouse building in Durban. The focus remained on reasons for its cancellation however additional facts pertaining to the public opinion as well as image of the Durban Theatre were also included.
