The documents refer to the process in which the author compiled information and music recordings pertaining to Southern Africa from 1931-1978. Information referring to the history, public perceptions, record companies and additional information pertaining setbacks have also been discussed and included in the write-up. The last two remaining pages pertain to a list of recordings, musicians and additional insight into the selected material. These works include artists such as Sons of Zululand, Solomon Lind's original evening Birus, Shadi Shezi, Dick Ngube, Jim Tshabangu, Nongomo Trio and Alexander Jafete to name a few.
