dc.description.abstractAll pages forming part of this item were taken from the Semibrief Newsletter compiled by the Barleycorn Music Club. The first article pertains to the National Folk/ Music Festival in which various aspects of the events were mentioned with specific reference to performers such as Pete van Heerden, Fiona Tozer, Colin Shamley and Willem Fourie who were considered the author's favourites. The following page consisted of two articles with reference to the farewell of Jonathan Warren whilst the second notifies readers of the club's large collection of music on record which had been made available during intervals on Mondays. The following article pertained to a true tale of Gary Hemmings followed by a section showcasing letters to the Editor. The compilation also included music reviews as well as closing remarks.
