    Abstract
In 1986 David Marks worked alongside a group of journalists who reported on the South African Border War in Angola. They were embedded journalists with Jonas Savimbi’s UNITA (National Union for the Total Independence of Angola). The ten-day tour included journalists from World Television News, New York Times and the Los Angeles Times. Marks worked as a stringer recording sound for the camera crew.
